P(A)TIENCE: Nicole Ji Soo Kim & Eunice Luk

Nicole Ji Soo Kim is an interdisciplinary artist based in Toronto, Canada working through conceptual frameworks of grief, loss and their inevitable connections to time, presence and meaning. Her art education began at School of the Arts Institute of Chicago, before completing her BFA at Ontario College of Art and Design University in 2020. Kim’s first solo exhibition was presented at Franz Kaka (Toronto, CA). She has recently exhibited at Hawkins Headquarters (Atlanta, GA) Tala, Weatherproof (Chicago, IL), New York Art Residency and Studios Foundation (New York, US), Zalucky Contemporary, and the plumb (Toronto, CA). She has participated in the Roundtable Residency (Toronto, CA) and NARS Foundation International Residency (Brooklyn, US). She received a certificate of completion of the Grief Education program through OISE Continuing and Professional Learning at the University of Toronto.

Eunice Luk is an artist and artist-publisher based in Tkaronto/Toronto. Through sculpture, installations, an multiples, Eunice creates poetic experiences that situate viewers in their responsibilities and sense of belongin within the broader context of our ecological system. Eunice has participated in exhibitions internationally and nationally - including at YYZ Artists’ Outlet (Toronto, ON), Susan Hobbs Gallery (Toronto, ON) Junbicyu (Tokyo, Japan), LVL3 (Chicago, IL), Critical Distance (Toronto, ON), Kamloops Art Gallery (Kamloops, BC), Walter Philips Gallery at the Banff Centre, and The Prince Takamado Gallery at th Embassy of Canada (Tokyo, Japan).
